Today we had the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the approaching Christmas. All thanks to the talented alumni and teachers of the friendly Special School and Educational Center named after him. K. Makuszyński in Olsztyn. We were introduced to the amazing history and traditions of holidays in Warmia by Ms. Anna from the Special Center, to which all the guests listened with interest. The culmination of the children’s beautiful artwork showing “Christmas in Warmia past and present” was the presentation of prizes by the Director of the School Youth Hostel and the Director of the Special School and Educational Center. We are proud that as the School Youth Hostel in Olsztyn we were able to hand over a special Grand Prix Award. We hope that the winner and her guardian will enjoy their stay at our shelter. We guarantee accommodation with breakfast, in an apartment with a beautiful view of the city skyline. After viewing the works, all guests were able to purchase handmade Christmas decorations by the charges and teachers of the Special Center at the fair. The biggest fan of shopping turned out to be our Director . Thank you very much to everyone for coming, for the kind words, the appreciation of the young artists, the jury for the not easy task of choosing the winners, and all the Guests for supporting the Christmas Fair. We can wholeheartedly subscribe to the words of Mr. Robert Szewczyk – Chairman of the Olsztyn City Council, that working with children, and in particular with children requiring additional support is a vocation and a passion .
